Greece closes immigration offices

On a last-minute update, the Greek government has announced yesterday 11.03.2020, a series of additional measures in an attempt to contain the COVID-19 virus spread throughout the Hellenic state.

Among those increased security and safety measures is the closure of all Immigration Offices of the country from 12.03.2020 up until 10.04.2020. This is the official timeframe determined based on the current facts which are expected to be re-evaluated in a few weeks’ time depending on the evolution of the virus.

That practically means that during the aforementioned period the following actions related to the Golden Visa process cannot be concluded:

- Submission of applications for residence permits issuance

- Collection of biometrics for residence permits issuance

- Collection of already issued residence permits
