Back in 2013, we advised the Government on the development of the Greek Golden Visa Law which grants Non-European real estate investors and their families with permanent Residence Permits (RP) enabling passport-free movement across the EU/Schengen Area in return for an investment of minimum value 250,000 EUR.

The Golden Visa process requires not only specialized legal advise but also independent and unbiased legal advise, in order to avoid any conflict-of-interest situations. In simple words, the property seller or the developer or the real estate agent cannot introduce the lawyers of their own trust to the potential buyer. The potential buyers have to appoint their own independent legal advisor in order to keep them safe and harmless as far as the real estate transaction in concerned.
